Looks like UNC gets one of his wishes granted lol.

Then we bring back a guy we DFA'd a few days ago. Cant wait for the draft to be over with

Sad to see Venters go like this, his velocity is good but his former dominance vs lefties is gone due to his lack of control. He has walked a lot of lefties he's faced so far this year. Hopefully he can get it back on track and be back in MLB somewhere if not here. He was among the best i've ever seen before we overused him all those years.

Agree on both scores. The front office has made some odd decisions in letting go of Sam Freeman, Biddle and Venters. I know they are out of options and all that. But it seems to me a bit more patience should have been exercised with those guys. Its not as if we overflow with better options.

Freeman made sense after it came out about his changes. He has also been very bad in AAA this year, more hits than innings, homers allowed with a lot of walks. He gave up a homer in his brief two innings with the Angels too. Biddle and Venters are the surprises as they were much better last year and both are still doing fine with velocity. But Biddle has been walking the house before giving up bases clearing hits and Venters seems to walk at least 2/3 of the lefties he faces (small sample of course). That is even worse considering Venters like Blevins is a lefty specialist now.

That said, Venters is the only one I'd waited a bit longer to decide. I cannot argue with the Freeman or Biddle moves.

Duvall looks like he's back too so could be well spent if you had room for him in the OF. Even the cheaper Joyce looks more like the Joyce that hit 25 homers (24 vs righties) the season before last. But like Duvall he probably won't get to prove that here with Markakis playing pretty much every day along with other OF options.
 
We haven't seen Camargo in an AB since 5/14. in the last 4 games in which he had some ABS he went 1 for 3(14th), 2-4(12th), 1-1 on 11th, 1-3 on 8th. His hit on the 11th was a PH HR. will he be optioned when Inciarte returns if Riley is still smoking hot? He appears to be the odd man out unless the Braves go to a 5 man bench with that chance being slim and none.

He needs to play more than Snit is giving him the opportunities IMO.
