Pitching for the most part was good. Holmes made only one mistake. Which for this offense tonight, was one too many.

Pitching was outstanding. Holding the dodgers to 2 is big time. The braves can't hit dodger pitching. They've scored 1 run in 3 of the 4 games vs dodgers.

Riley yes and Harris no. Both these guys aren't known for their patience, but Harris' career BB-rate is < 5%. Riley's is a little better 7.7%. When it comes to talking a walk, Harris is basically LHH-Jeff Francoeur and I don't think that's ever going to change. Riley's minor league BB-rate, while not stellar, got to 10% at some stops. Harris' never did and probably never will.

didn’t get to watch. Tough loss. But looks like pitching was outstanding last night. Not having Acuña and the loss of juiced up Semi-proFar makes the lineup average to below against elite pitching when you already have replacement players at second and short.

I know, I’m more worried about Riley. But Harris is young but has been in the league for three years and still hasn’t improved his discipline. I’m afraid as the league sees him more, the worse his numbers are going to get if he doesn’t improve on that front. It’s hard to maintain a walk rate that poor and be a good hitter. Vlad Guerrero he is not.
