GDT 7/30/24: Braves @ Brewers - Deadline Day Game

I think we've found someone more dramatic than Ronald Acuna - whit Merrifield. Dude cut his finger and apparently he's gonna go on the 60-day IL

Soler and Jackson won't be active until the Wednesday game

I'm not sure if it's because of traveling arrangements or because the Braves don't want to add them to the 26-man roster yet?

We need an IF whose still out there?

Kiner-Falefa ended up in Pittsburgh. I thought he'd have been a decent fit. They would have had to carry $7.5 MM next year, but the guy is a defensive wizard all over the diamond and has hit better this year.

Overall, I can't remember a deadline when so many guys moved, but the movement involved more quantity than quality. A bunch of second-tier starters who can fill out the back ends of rotations and no top-drawer hitters (but some helpful guys). The relief pitchers that moved around will probably produce the most impact.

Well….. the crystal ball shows some shocking surprises tonight … Elder only two base runners with no runs through five……
Olson and Murphy both hit homeruns with men on base …….
Our bullpen doesn’t give up anything…..

Did my eyes deceive me or did Laureano actually catch a routine fly ball to right field? Some images stay in your mind, I'm afraid.
