I am not sure I am following now. I wasn’t suggesting punting. Letting Lee work the 8th and giving JJ the night off unless it goes into long extras is not punting. Lee is a very good reliever and should be used more. Prince Albert also is a very good reliever and could have pitched. But I preferred Lee since prince pitches the night before. Bummer is also quality but a tier below but I wouldn’t call using him punting.

Wearing down JJ won’t help this team win games. Not when there are other quality guys that will prevent having to use him so much.

Just making an observation apart from the point you were making, sorry. I don't think the intent here has been to wear Jimenez down.
 
We needed one like that. If the Braves played that game exactly the same 100 times, they lose 90 of them. That's baseball.
 
I still cannot comprehend the rationale behind the review call at third - only theory that seems plausible is the fellas in NYC knew they owed us one from a coupla’ weeks back - you know the one I’m talking about.
 
I think a September call up is likely. We need anyone and everyone that could help. Even if it's just being an emergency catcher so TDA can pinch hit
