Good news with Albies is it looks like his out of control aggression is being reigned in a bit. Hopefully it was just a 40 game stretch of silliness that he's worked out of his system. The last 10-15 games have been a good sign.

This is good because Ozzie has been a terrible hitter for a pretty large sample now.

I would not expect him to continue being terrible, but he's been really, really bad.

All the talk of how amazing Albies is has obviously dissipated as folks only remember what he's done lately.

Did we forget that he just put up a .790 OPS in July?

As silly optimistic as folks were being when Ozzie posted a .988 OPS in April, they are being equally silly pessimistic when he posts a .579 OPS in August.

All told, he's still on track for 3.5-4 WAR as a 21 year old in his sophomore season.

Both days are bullpen days. It's annoying as it can throw you off offensively, but at least it's not like the Padres, you'll get a look at a guy twice. The bad thing though is they play matchup, and for some reason Ender Inciarte is laughably batting 2nd. Even if he was destroying it (he probably is by his standards now with his .733 OPS since the break), Snitker is setting up to be LOOGY'd easily. Awesome sauce.

Not to mention you'll have a right handed opener tomorrow as well but Jalen Beeks, a lefty will get the main innings. Awesomeness.

Not disagreeing with anyone, but I cant help remembering how the board mocked Fredi G for sticking religiously to the LRLR alternating lineup. Now we are commenting about how Snit is not doing it, making the lineup susceptible to being LOOGY'd.

In general I like LRLR, but it isn't as important if your hitters don't have pronounced splits.

Outside of Snell and Glasnow yeah every day is pretty much bullpen day for the Rays these days. Although with Glasnow, they pretty much have had him just go 2 TTO too.

I'd call it a modified bullpen day though. After the opener the next guy to come in is going to stay two times through. Then they're going to play matchup. So the technical actual starters since the guys coming in will pitch multiple are Yonny Chirinos and Jalen Beeks.

(Fair warning: Jalen Beeks has a high ERA, but has been quite good after his 3rd appearance in the majors, so keep that in mind)
