GDT 9/25/13: Brewers (Lohse) @ Braves (Maholm) 7:10 PM

Gomez has issues, he's lucky it was Maholm he was upset with and not Nolan Ryan or Bob Gibson. He might be in the hospital right about now. To hold a grudge for 2 months because you were hit in the ribs and leg is something that makes no sense to me. I've never seen a player act like that after hitting a homerun. He should be fined and suspended for his actions. There is no place for that in the game of baseball.

Or Julio Teheran.

Amen. I don't think what he did is particularly worthy of suspension, but this crap never (and I'm old) ever used to happen when the umps let pitchers drill hitters when they got out of line. Let the players police it themselves within the lines. Last thing we need is Selig and company handing out arbitrary suspensions that are almost always reduced. If you took a poll of players, my guess is a healthy majority would agree that Gomez should be drilled (and the vote would probably be over 90% among pitchers).

Yup.

I love how the only people who are really against it are people who aren't actively in baseball. Even Gomez said he would have done the same thing if he was Mac. No wonder Baby Bryce is so popular he fits in with the cry about being challenged fans.

I'm just going to say it. I like the idea of being a team of bullies. I think it's actually kind of awesome. It's like we're the 88 Pistons and McCann is Bill Laimbeer.

Brian Kinney is being kind of a wussy. McCann should give him a wedgie or something.

Where did Gomez say this? Probably indirectly admitting what he did was a deuchebag move.

This team doesn't have a bunch of bad asses you wouldn't want to mess with. Sure, Gattis is big, but he isn't ill tempered.

They're the most huggingest team ever. Bullies indeed.

Freeman gives the hugs, Gattis provides the Bear Hugs. BJ and Uggla provide the expletives. Fredi provides the kisses.

Yeah, it's absurd but I still like the thought of it.

I think if you take away numbers from Kinney he just doesn't know what to do.

It's surprising Kenny thinks that, considering he was basically ESPN's Lead Boxing Commentator for the last decade.

I usually agree with a lot of what he says. Its some sort of cognitive dissonance.
