With his recent velocity drop I dont think they wanted to bring him back on 4 days rest to pitch game 2. Makes me wonder what the plan is if we win the WC round. Game 2 would be a normal 4 day rest. Depending how things go I wonder if they might start him game 3 which with the off day would put him on 6 days rest. He isnt going to pitch game 1 on 3 days rest. Game 2 means he isnt going to start 2 games in the series. Game 2 would be on 4 days rest and would line up him up for game 1 of a potential NLCS with 6 days off.
