Francouer in CF? He can't say he isn't getting every chance to make the team.

I think Frenchy makes the team and Swisher is a very rich unemployed player if spring ends today. I think the Braves hope that Swisher can show something to justify keeping him.. but as of right now.. NOPE..

I don't disagree. It's just funny to see Francoeur lining up in CF. But that's what spring training is for. I wanted that much of a Swisher fan when he was a productive player and he's pretty terrible right now. Only things he has over Francoeur is position flexibility and being a switch-hitter. They are both 25th guys at this stage of their careers, so it's no big thang.

I agree with position flexibility in all. .but his biggest advantage is that the Braves owe him 15 million..that is hard to cut..

I think Frenchy playing CF is to see about his position flexibility..

I'm not sure what the point is given we have Inciarte, Bourn and Bonifacio to play center and Smith a phone call away. Not to mention Jace who seems to have been put on the super utility track this spring.

because Fredi likes to bounce a ball against a wall and see what sticks.. What other reason do you start Frenchy in Center. you know he can play RF and probably LF.. I have a feeling he could if needed, play 1B..But he has Boni in RF and Frenchy in C... so you come up with a reason..

James Hoyt (other part of the Gattis trade) looked impressive in his inning for Houston today. He's developed a splitter that's nasty.

Lots of kids on the bus today. Franco, D. Peterson, Kinman, Lien. Interesting to see where Kinman starts the season. Given the paucity of quality LHPs in our bullpen, if Kinman can keep it going, he may be in the bigs by mid-season.

Yeah. Kinman is one to keep an eye on. Lots of strikeouts, but too many walks. I found it interesting that Marksberry got assigned to AA. My guess is this is where Kinman will start the year.
