Going streaking - minor league edition

Preacher

Where's My Cup of Coffee?
Wanted to take a look at how some of our kids are trending -- by no means a comprehensive look.

The good stuff;

Max Fried last three starts

16 IP, 3 ER, 20 SO, 8 BB (dropped his ERA almost a run)

Touki Toussaint last two starts

14 IP, 1 ER, 3 BB, 12 SO

How about Touki recently, ERA at one point this year was a robust 12.66, that's down to 4.89 and his BB rates have dropped big time. Still needs to throw more strikes - but PROGRESS.

Patrick Wiegel in June

19 IP, .47 ERA, 19 SO, 3 BB

That'll do.

Austin Riley in June

.319/.377/.447, 4 2B, 1 3B, 5 BB, 17 SO

Riley starting to turn it around.

Braxton Davidson in June

.260/.383/.440, 4 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 9 BB, 18 SO

Another guy starting to creep out of the basement.

Jason Hursh last 6 appearances

9 IP, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 SO

Hursh has taken to the role of a reliever and still has the stuff to be a pretty good one - his numbers have gotten better across the board as the season has gone on.

Now the bad

Mike Soroka in June

16 IP, 3.94 ERA, .313 BAA, 14 SO, 3 BB

Soroka has been yielding hits at a pretty high rate for the last month and half, some of that is probably just bad luck/bad defense -- but its something to keep an eye on.

Jonathan Morales in June

.105/.186/.184, 1 HR, 4 BB, .3 SO

Morales has fallen off a cliff this month, interestingly enough he's not striking out a ton -- BABIP Gods at work here? Obviously he's not driving the ball much.

Max Povse in June

16 IP, 7.88 ERA, 13 SO, 4 BB, BAA .389

Povse had been one of the better pitchers in the system up until June - in 3 starts he's been hit hard allowing 14 runs.

Dansby Swanson in June

.140/.232/.220, 2 2B, 1 3B, 4 BB, 16 SO

Where have you gone Dansby?
