Hello 1st place...

What I like about this team is they are consistently inconsistent. Sometimes they win. Sometimes they lose. Not like other teams who either lose all the time or win all the time. Imagine how boring it would be to be a fan of one of those teams.
 
Wait a minute. All I heard from the naysayers here was how the Nats was going to take over the division and leave us in the dust. What happened?

We've been hearing for the past 5 weeks that we weren't going to be in first by the end of each respective weekend. And each time we have been. This team is remarkably consistent.
 
Eh, Nats are really banged up right now. I'm much more concerned this year than I was last year. But those concerns have diminished slightly with the play of TLS.

Don't get me wrong. There's a chance that they could take this division from us because they are a good team. However, I just have to laugh at the constant "we're done, Nats have this division" type of posts on here. If these people are so convinced that they have the ability to tell the future they should quit wasting their time on baseball forums and start following the stock market.

This has been happening since the streak to start last year really

Don't get it confused. We are not an elite team right now. The ONLY reason we are in first is because our division has been awful. The Nats have a ton of injuries holding them back.

Plus we are only 4 games over 500 and by far the worst record among 1st place teams in all of baseball. Please stop acting like this team is the best in baseball. Until we fix the 2 hole issue and Fredi decides to stop being a moron during tight spots in the late innings we will never be any better than this.

We are the best team in baseball. But Laird in his infinite wisdom as veteran leader has urged his teammates to do a little sandbagging. He wants the team to peak in October.

I never said this was the best team in baseball. We do have our flaws. However, I'm just tired of the constant whiners who think that this team is terrible or that we're somehow a .500 ball club. Sorry, the "Nats have injuries" excuse has been running so long I'm tired of hearing it. All teams have injuries.

Agree on the Nats but that also indicates the division is not that good. That backs up my point also. Leading this division is not saying very much. Yes we have the talent to have a much better record but until we fix the 2 hole spot and Fredi stops being Fredi we are going to hover around the 500 to 550 winning percentage.
 
Getting laughed at now but when the Braves are sitting home come October I will never miss a chance to say I told y'all so. This team is headed for a third place finish unless something clicks in the second half. I will still pull for them but I have no faith in them. This is the worst team the braves have put on the field since '89-90. It's not lack of talent it's just lack of meshing as a team. I will say this if I am wrong and they somehow pull this out their hind ends I will come here and publicly admit so. This same core will come out next year and be a theat for a WS title, but for whatever reason it hasn't come together this season and I don't see that changing.
