Hope you Floridians, Alabamans, and Georgians are doing alright

Hang in there. I could tell from the reports that it was going to cause a lot of devastation. Thinking about all of you. Stay safe.

Mexico beach is no more basically

We haven't had power for 4 hours. Tree down in back yard. Michael brought the heat . What a damn storm

You live in/near Mexico Beach? I've actually been there before, several years back. The facilities we were at weren't that great, kind of old and worn but the beach itself was beautiful, some of the prettiest sand I've ever seen, just like a bag full of sugar.

I’m about 2.5 hours north, in GA. It’s destroyed. There’s a flyover video on YouTube that looks like another world . I grew up going there with my grandparents. That whole stretch is called the “forgotten coast” for a reason and is much more tolerable for true beach goers than Panama City and Destin. Great local feel from there to Apalachicola and the best oysters.

It’s a 200 mile wide swath of destruction. Drove 1.5 hours NW to find power Thursday night . Almost to Ft Benning in columbus, ga.

Should be another week without power or water.

This storm decimated the pecan farmers and cotton guys.
