How is this still happening?

I think it's ok if you are impersonating a celebrity. But just trying to dress up as a random black guy is racist or stereotypical.

How can anyone dress in blackface anymore? How is that remotely even a consideration?

What's the big deal? I don't see anything wrong with a Bob Marley costume. He looked a little silly but so what?

Halloween should be a free day from political correctness.

My God, this country...do you seriously think he was trying to be racist here? If he wore it not on Halloween, I'd be concerned.

What's your opinion on tampon costumes and ones for guys where it looks like a woman is giving him head?

Because those exist....

A guy came to a Halloween party back in college in black face, with the added feature of a tastefully constructed bullet hole in his dome. He claimed to be Martin Luther King, Jr.

The costume was not well received.

I personally don't see the problem, especially if you're only impersonating a celebrity and not in a way the belittles them based on their race. I mean had he the guy put on the entire Bob Marley outfit, yet not painted his face I guess no one would have said anything? He was trying to make his costume look more authentic, not insult Marley or the black community.

Is Dave Chapelle racist? He portrayed himself as a white guy on his show frequently. What Angela Johnson and her hood rat Bon Qui Qui impersonation? Or is it only ok for comedians to act that way?

I guess it's a matter of opinion, I think Halloween is one of the few times you can actually be politically effed up and people shouldn't get hyperventilated about it. I do agree with though Meta about the MLK wannabe. That costume would make me want to go out and get a James Earl Ray costume and make the other guys' costume more authentic.

When I was in college we had some stupid singing competition where groups would dress up and sing songs. One sorority dressed up as Native Americans and painted their faces red.
