What a great article on our hero. Dude worked with a Navy SEAL and went through some brutal workouts and simulations (trying to throw in an empty ballpark with the guy blaring the audio where Matzek had prior failures with the yips.

I love that he makes a Harry Potter reference. This guy is a gem.

How you go from having the yips to pitching perhaps the greatest inning in Atlanta Braves history is just amazing.
 
I remember wanting the Braves to pick Matzek in 2009. I think going to the Rockies significantly hurt his career. I think he would still be a starter if the Braves had originally drafted him.
