Finally one of the Braves media understands how much many of us follow the minor leagues. Informative article by MLB's Bowman about the injuries to the Braves' top prospects:

Summarizing:

Bethancourt has a bruised LEFT hand and will be fine soon. No biggie and you know he'll be around in September because Fredi shares Bobby's love of multiple catchers.

Peraza has a strained groin and the Braves are being VERY, VERY (that's two verys) careful with him.

Shea Simmons, after failing to retire a hitter in his latest rehab outing (two hits, two walks, four runs scored), he has been shut down again with discomfort in the back of his shoulder. Another exam is imminent.

Chris Diaz, who has been wonderful since signing out of the June draft, was DL'd with a left (throwing) shoulder strain. Move was retro to Aug. 16.

Wow that really sucks. Peraza and Simmons will probably be shut down for the year now. I was really counting on the braves depth to help a lot in September.
