Julio Franco still playing baseball

Anytime Now Frankie...
I think he's the solution to our problem with the roster misbalance. 24 pitchers and 1 Julio Franco!

Amazing, really liked that guy when he was here, although he was asked to play way too big of a role than he should have if it wasn't for the ineptitude of our GM and front office to actually find a competant first baseman. I mean it couldn't have been that hard without a little planning and due dilegence, could it?

My god, watching Brogna, Helms, Caminiti was awful until Julio finally came along and saved the season. And then the inability to upgrade the following year and have to rely on the Franco Franco platoon the following year. Then don't even get me started on that prick we got from Detroit. We finally found a capable option in LaRoche, only for JS to repeat history by trading an everyday player for a reliever as a knee jerk reaction to our horrific bullpen issues the previous 2 years, which we're again assembled by the one and only JS.

Give him a couple of months and then try to lure him away from Japan. Freddie will need a night off once in awhile and, since we're not really expecting to win until 2017, we won't have much to lose. He was popular guy while he was here, so he could put a few more butts in the seats. Otherwise, I think we'll start hearing Skip's voice in our heads when he commented that there were more people in the broadcast booth than in the rest of the stadium.
