Dykstra is a guy I have always felt the Braves would eventually try him out in center field to see what he can do. He has the athleticism to do it.

Although he's hurt right now, Rome has had Acuna in center. From all reports he is a pretty special defensive outfielder.

Chris Ellis had a pretty tough 2nd inning, but recovers to go 6 IP in a solid start: 6H, 3 BB, 6 K, 2 ER, 93 pitches.

Janas' conversion to the bullpen looks to be promising. Curious about his stuff. Control numbers have been spectacular this season (and were the same last year in Carolina before his promotion to AA).

What's the scouting report on Ellis?

my impressions of him in person (I was at this game) was he was a solid control pitcher with avg stuff and a decent ability to generate soft contact. He got in big trouble in the 2nd but he was able to escape with only 2 runs when a lesser arm might have allowed it to become a big inning. I don't think he's ever going to be an ace , but I could see him as a MOR arm on a good team
