Michael Harris II

I'd be happy if Albies just used 1% of his brain while batting. His approach has gotten worse and worse to the point where is basically unplayable now. He takes roughly 2 swings a game on balance, and if he doesn't pull the ball right down the line he can't do anything.

When one of the those balls down the line goes over the wall it's not some sign things are going to get better.

Interesting that Harris went back to the stance he used when he came up, rather than the one Seitzer got him to use which is basically low hands, like a left handed American Acuña

Agreed. It’s an approach that has to be broken.

For w/e reason, Harris always balls out after the all star break. Hopefully he can take these same adjustments at the start of ‘26. He now looks like the guy we all thought he’d be

I’d like to know who helped fix him . Hyers or he just did it himself

And I’ve also always wondered- does a change like this help you see the ball better ? Because his issue most of this year was swinging at EVERYTHING

That’s what I’m confused on. It might be a case of the stance helping him get to the ball just slightly quicker, which in turn helps him see the ball longer.

They mentioned on the air the other night that Hyers was talking to him about it. He explained to Harris he was loading his hands from that position and it forced him to start his swing earlier. He said if he was gonna be loading his hands like that, he might as well go back to his old stance so he can start his swing later and get a better read on the ball.

Or something along those lines. I think they said Harris has been modeling his swing after Acuna the last couple of years.

Harris with another hit today. It's definitely good to see these changes working... Out of everything, it might be the most impactful development going into next season

Get Harris back into a 4-5 WAR player, a SS upgrade, and Riley back to full strength. Then you can afford to have Albies as your weak link. Maybe he adjusts or maybe it’s Nacho if he keeps struggling.
