Four interesting starters again. Seems like having a game stared by a pitcher that's not one to keep an eye on is the exception.

Keith law has said the braves have over 20 potential major league arms in their minor leagues. Wonder how often this many high caliber arms has ever been assembled.

I hope there will be some better performances today/tonight than yesterday. Mississippi and Rome should have won.. to have 2 games like that on the same night was gut wrenching.

Does he mean 20 potential starters or arms in general? Because that seems low if it's the latter.

I think he means legit major league arms. I would assume he's not talking about middle relief, Ian Krol type pitchers. Those guys are everywhere. And obviously any system has unlimited potential major league arms if you just mean 'could pitch in the majors at some point'.

That's fair then. We have at least 20 guys I think could definitely be either starters or high leverage relievers. When you factor in pitchers that could stick in the majors, I think that number jumps pretty dramatically.

Just watched Ian Anderson K the side in the first on milb.tv. Whew that was impressive. The ball explodes out of his hand.

Hope things go better for Ian than for this Mr. Anderson.

From Twitter:

Phone acting up. Absolutely dominating first from #Braves Ian Anderson. 3ks. 95-97 FB w/ plus arm side run.

In terms of legit arms, I'd go with this list currently in the minors:

Wisler
Blair
Newcomb
Fried
Allard
Soroka
Weigel
Anderson
Toussaint
Gohara
Wentz
Muller
Minter
Sims
Sanchez
Harrington
Luke Jackson
Bryse Wilson
Akeel Morris
Withrow
Mader

That's 21, and then you have a guy like Del Rosario, the international signing who apparently has a monster ceiling.
