MINORS THREAD 9/1: Heartbreak for Mississippi; Danville reaches finals.

The Mississippi Braves have clinched having the best overall record in the Southern League in 2014: a lofty 83-56. But they are missing the Southern League playoffs because they failed to win their division either half. The second half title was snatched away from them by Jacksonville, which won its final 10 games to offset's Mississippi's eight-game win streak that ended earlier this week.
Both teams won today.
