Mississippi Roster Announced

Interesting that Mader is there. I guess we're going to go ahead and convert him to a bullpen arm.

We've got a sick rotation, some intriguing bullpen arms, and just a few position players I'm interested in following - Demeritte, Lien, Moore, and to some degree Meneses.

I like that we're keeping Davidson down. It's the obvious move, but I was worried they might move him up.

Interested to see if TD can get balls out of there and if he can get those strikeouts from god awful to bad.

James got the outfield spot over Davidson and Acuna. I think that's the right call. Wonder what happened to Godfrey.

Jared James in AA will be interesting. He put up really good numbers last year in Danville and Rome.

I still think Mississippi is our least interesting group of offensive prospects by a significant margin, but there are some guys to keep up with.

The position players look pretty much like I predicted in another thread except for James. James makes sense at a level. College guy.

As for the pitchers, I'm a bit surprised Taylor Lewis isn't there.

Man, there are multiple legitimately intriguing guys at every stop. You don't realize just how deep our system is until you go through each of these rosters and realize how few holes there are.

It's nice to have a legit-looking line-up of players either drafted or acquired through trades at each level (especially at the lower levels). The last couple of years, some of our teams have been populated with retreads from other systems and that shouldn't happen in a good minor league system.

Fire Frogs put out a press release, and it mentions 20 players. But the release also says they have a 25-man roster. Unless I'm missing something, they haven't posted their full roster yet: https://www.milb.com/fire-frogs/news/fire-frogs-announce-opening-day-roster/c-222237408/t-196097170

Looks like they need a starting 2B, back-up middle infielder, and a few more relievers. I'd assume Devin Watts and Luis Mora would be on there if they're not injured. I don't see Matt Gonzalez or Alberto Obregon anywhere. Either of them could be on there.

Very happy they are pushing him. Real dark horse who has delivered the goods so far.

Appreciate you posting this first, but we deserve to have the rosters, not just the link.

That pushed for time that folks can't make an extra click? Wow!

Guess I'm fired - will be tough to make it without my monthly Chop Country salary.

Some guys I didn't see on full-season rosters that surprised me: Luis Mora, Jaret Hellinger, Taylor Hyssong, Matt Gonzalez, Roberto Osuna, Leudys Baez, JB Moss, Justin Ellison.
