Just posted Wednesday, August 18:

40. Cristian Pache
75. Shea Langeliers
86. Drew Waters
98. Michael Harris

FYI: Langeliers not ranked among top 10 catching prospects

yikes, farm looks weak based on this.. hopefully 2020 and 21 guys get going.

eh. We have promoted a lot of guys.

I'm more worried about our current drafting strategy of college guys up top and lottery picks late. We will see if these college arms hit. I do have some hope for Strider to be an impact guy and Elder looks like a really good number 5 for cheap. Not so sure on the Wake Forest guys.

If you do a list of talent under 25. Or talent under control for 3+ or 5+ years then I think we are in a really good spot. The penalities are really hurting our lower levels but hopefully we'll get one Harris a year out of the lottery ticket strategy.

I wasn’t complaining about the team. Just how the farm has become depleted due to busts and promotions. The inter penalties and being a good team has drained our pool a bit.

Depth is poor right now and our top-drawer guys--Pache and Waters--have lost some of their sheen. International penalties really hurt. We'll have to see how the high floor early/toolsy project late draft strategy works. Early returns on Grissom and Estes look good on the overslot post-Round 10 strategy, but they are a long ways away.

I don’t think he was on, and didn’t do anything ground breaking in AAA to get put there

I don't think he was ever on the list, but I think his apparent drop in velocity probably keeps him off the list. He was advertised as mid-to-high 90s four-seamer and he's been sitting in the low 90s.

4 guys in the top 100 after four years into your competitive window is still very good, especially when you consider overall high hit rate on our prospects (at least on the position player side).

I also think we have a lot of guys that have performed well from the 19/20 drafts that jsut aren't going to get ranked in a list like this.

I would expect by this time next year we are going to have more guys on the list.

Considering all the guys the Braves have taken to the bigs, 4 in the top 100 isnt that bad.

Looking at some other elite clubs. Dodgers have 4, Tampa has 5, SD has 4, Yanks have 3, Brewers have 2, White Sox have none. Mets have 3 and Philly has 1. Nats have 4 but Ruiz/Gray are both technically MLB ready.

agree. Nats just made some major trades to help the farm. Rays always making trades to replenish the farm.

The guys on the list have upside. We have guys not on the list, that have upside too.

I don't think we have anyone with Acuna or even Albies, Swanson upside right now. Some may think Harris can be a 4+ WAR guy. The absolute ceiling of our most recent pick is very high, but unlikely.

Man it is hard to believe we have been really good for 4 years now. I guess having 4 still there is a pretty good sign. We had been spoiled with the consistent 7-8 every year.

Gray will be off that list in a couple of weeks

Unless he counts as graduated, surprised Contreras isn't on there. He flashed at the MLB level and then has absolutely killed it back down in AAA.
