I don’t know. He’s only pitched a little over a month. This would be like him going on the IL for rest in the middle of May. I sure hope it is, but I bet he throws a side session and if he isn’t where he needs to be this “rest” lasts longer and with a DR’s appointment added.
I hope he isn’t one of these Tommy John guys that has to have surgery more than once.

A lot of pitchers can get dead arm coming out of spring. It depends on how much and how hard he threw when in quarantine. His back hurts and arm is tired. We don’t need him to get to the playoffs. We need him in the playoffs.

That was not the context I saw. I think it means Bryce Wilson will get starts before Davidson.
I am not a person to bang on the front office. But I think they ruined Wilson. Rushed him. He should have been two levels back working on the secondaries OR focused on being a dominant reliever. This limbo **** is horrible.
