It's OVER 5,000!
The jaded will say it's all show. But I'm not there yet - even though I've got more grey hair than most here do. I still like seeing good pictures of our Presidents with children. From all indications President Obama is great with children - much like President Bush is with military personnel. Their humanity comes through in a good way. Take a look at some of these:

Great pics Bedell, I think this may be about the most "human" I've ever seen him, with the possible exception of the White House correspondent's (I guess that's what it is/was called) dinner where he did the skit about being Daniel Day Lewis.

Bush had some good moments at those too while he was president. I wonder if having to be around gigantic aholes from the other party all day every day takes its toll on those more human elements. You know, you feel like you have to have this Clint Eastwood/John Wayne persona going all the time or they'll go into attack mode. Probably true too, for both sides. We'd become that vicious as a people, IMO.
