Heres a case where a suspect enters a front yard of a woman where some kids are playing. The cops follow and order everyone at gunpoint including the kids to get on the ground. A cop then tries to shoot the family dog. The dog runs away. The cop tries to shoot it again and hits a 10 year old in the knee. And the highest court at this point ruled there was no precedent for the cops to know this was wrong so they get QI.
