How the heck do you pronounce "BABIP?"

In my head, I always say it as "babe - ip"

But everytime I hear someone say it on TV, they say it as "bab - ip"

Please Chop Country, help me out!

Is it woah buh or wah-ba.

I think it's bab IP

In my head, I "say" bee–eh–bee–eye–pee or batting-average on balls in-play when I read BABIP, but woah-buh when I read wOBA.

Neither, however, keeps me up at night.
