Anytime Now Frankie...
Seems like a lot of guys are freaking out over the first 6 games. Did you really think this was a team that could contend.

We're not good but we aren't as bad as we played either but this season should be all about 3 things...

1) continue to get good performances out of the veterans while coming up short in the win column so we can move them at the deadline, we aren't close to contending so best case scenario is to be out of the race so we don't give our trusty FO a false hope and be buyers instead of sellers...which we should be. Hopefully Colon, Dickey, Garcia, Phillips, Nick etc perform at a level that will draw interest of other teams during the deadline.

2) draft pick positioning, if we're gonna suck we might as well lose as many games as possible and get a high draft pick. It's not about actually winning the games but being competitive and in the games

3) Initiation and gradual improvement of the young players. As of right now there are only 3 or 4 players on the roster that are a part of the foundation for the future. Maybe a few more that could be role players but there is quite a bit of help that is on the way.

If you want to instruct people about relaxing, it's not really necessary to be concerned with this year's trade deadline or positioning for the 2018 draft.

Who cares? Does it really make a difference if the Braves are a 65 win club versus 70 or 75 wins? In the end this team is terrible and far away from fielding a competent roster. The only difference between being really bad and being bad are a few draft pick slots. We all know they will continue to waste top picks on pitchers who need probably still have legal curfew hours.
