Ricky Henderson Died

He was an elite player whose value wasn’t fully understood at the time he played. Everyone thinks kit was the bulk steals that made him valuable, when in reality it was that 17%-20% walk rate during his peak creating his true value.

Phenomenal well-rounded player. Like stated above, the base-stealing seems to be highest in the fans' mind. But he was a lot more than that. The OBP and the sneaky power were big features of his all-around game.

Hate he died but I hated his arrogance. He was on par with Pete Rose in that way. He wasn't humble by any means.

Except that Pete Rose was a certified scumbag and Rickey was by all accounts a decent human being.

But, hey, he liked to talk about himself in 3rd person so I guess he deserves to burn in hell.

Well that officially ends any hope I had of getting back the baseball cards I mailed to him to sign in 1988
