RIP Christine McVie

Hessmania Forever
She'll always be remembered more for her work with the revamped post-Danny Kirwin/Bob Welch version of Fleetwood Mac that was ushered in with the arrival of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, but she was with the band for more than 50 years and did great work from the get-go. Spare Me a Little on the Bare Trees LP is a classic.

She was a huge part of a really great band that made very original music. Lindsay Buckingham is an amazing guitar player who plays like no one else. Her husband played one of the most iconic bass lines of all time. I love watching Mick Fleetwood play the drums. And Stevie certainly was a great songwriter and charismatic stage presence.

Here's one of Christine's songs that's always good for a pick-me-up.

She wasn’t that charismatic (actually probably the least of the entire band), but she had a great stage presence.

Saw them a few times, and some of her more prominent songs are some of my favorite
