This actually could get a little interesting, and also might help explain the Smith signing a little.
You have the obvious group to be added to the roster - Pache, Contreras, Davidson, and De La Cruz. That leaves several pretty intriguing guys - several of whom are likely close enough to stick in rebuilding teams' pens this season - Graham, Hoekstra, Burrows, Clouse, Roney, White, McLaughlin, Pfeifer, Javier, Rangel, Mejia, and Noguera. Davidson and Neslony aren't likely to be scooped up by anybody (although an AL rebuilding team that liked what they saw out of Braxton at the end of 2018 might take a look at him).
Most of those "extra guys" wouldn't be considered big losses but as potential pen options during the life of Smith's deal, losing them would thin out some of our system depth.
