The Braves today placed RHP Shae Simmons on the 15-day DL with a right shoulder strain. RHP Juan Jaime has been recalled from Gwinnett (AAA)

Carpenter has been pitching better lately. I would use him in the 7th inning role while Simmons is on the DL.
