This was like the secret that everyone already know. The only 2 guys that had a chance to start was Meds or Sims and Meds is not on 40 man, so it wasn't going to be him over Sims. Blair and Wislerr suck and just got sent down, so their 10 days are not up.. Albers just pitched and is not on 40 man.

Sims has earned an extended tryout. I hope they leave him in the rotation the rest of the season.
While I think the odds are less than 50% he sticks as a starter, he's done enough to deserve a serious look. I'm of the same opinion with regards to Newcomb. Give them every opportunity possible and maybe they turn into a Folty.
