Statcast's new pitch movement leaderboard

FG just alerted us to the fact Statcast has released a new leaderboard, and it's awesome.

Looking through Braves pitchers and pitch types, it tells us a lot of what we already knew...

We see why Jackson was a Statcast darling and kept getting chances. Minter shows off his good movement. We see less than ideal movement for Wright and Teheran. The flatness of Fried's FA is on full display, but perhaps I have been underrating the horizontal movement he is getting. Touki's FA looks worrisome as well.

Teheran and Touki with good movment on the SI. And look at Soroka's SI...very good. Then lok at Wright's SI...also nasty. I happen to really like Wright and Soroka.

Soroka with the massive run, with Webb not too far behind. Soroka is ridiculous.

Wright with the big sweeper, Fried with the big downer, Newk also with a big boy hammer. Something doesn't appear right with Touki's dot...

Fried with his nasty sweeper that is shaped very differently than his CU. Jackson with the downer that kept getting him chances.

Wright should be able to make a living off his sinker and curve. With all of those pitches, he should be throwing his fastball as little as possible to make it more effective.

I wish we had statcast when Maddux was in his prime. I'd love to see what it said about his two seamer. You'd hear a lot less of the nonsense about him not having good stuff.
