Today, Luke Waddell hit his sixth homer in 64 professional at bats.

He hit five homers in four seasons at Georgia Tech.

Crazy thing is the scouting report on Waddell gave him a high grade on his bat to ball skills and he graded out average or better than average on nearly every tool with the sole exception of power - where he was given a 20 or 30 grade. If he develops power (and it is sustainable - obviously his current rate is not but any measurable improvement in the power category)- then he goes from a possible marginal prospect to one with some helium within our system. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

What happened to Michael Harris. It seems like years ago he was a stud at spring training. (Yes I know it was this year)

45+ FV player having a nice season in A+ Ball.

Every spring training local beat reporters on every team stoke the flames of hope for fans of the next player who reminds them of Jason Hayward [insert each team’s Hayward equivalent]. It’s dramatic for the point of selling stories.

I like him quite a bit as a prospect and he should start popping up on top 100 lists next year, but he isn’t a slam dunk phenom.

Michael Harris has never come close to playing a full professional season... I'm wondering if he's a bit tired out.
