CFB is certainly down, but not dead. It's still a great sport to watch. My favorite sports to watch are...

1. Braves baseball (not mlb, braves)
2. NFL
3. CFB
4. MBK
5. NBA
6. MLB games without braves

Aside from the transfer portal it really hasn't changed much. Players just have to pay taxes on the money the boosters give them now.

The unlimited transfers and the ability to just buy better players at any time took all the amateurism out of it.

Sure some guys got some stuff to come to a school- but they had to be there. These guys could threaten to sit out a ballgame halfway through if they wanted some more walking around cash for Saturday pm.

Didn’t the Minnestota qb room all decide to sit out the bowl game unless they all got some more money ?
