NOTWORTHY: Austin Riley is second in the IL in homers (12) and first in RBI (32), but isn't the league MVP so far. That would be Louisville second baseman Josh VanMeter, who slashed .336/13/31 with 1.123 OPS. before his callup by the Reds over the wekend He has 17 walks, only 23 Ks and 27 runs scored in 30 games. VanMeter, 24, was originally a draft pick of the Padres (sound familiar?) in 2013 and traded to the Reds in order to keep marginal catching prospect Luis Torrens.

Touki was a good prospect when he threw mid 90s. Now that he's low 90s, he's just a reliever. I would easily trade him.

Burrows seems to give up either a ton of hits or a ton of walks every outing lately. Bummer, I thought he was closer to helping than he seems to be.
