Kris Anglin and AJ Smith-Shawver both activated in the FCL today. Liam McGill also making his playing debut and doubled in the second inning.

Anglin just threw a scoreless inning with one walk.

We're now down to 11th rounder Adam Shoemaker as the only signed draft pick not active.

And McGill just homered.

Anglin struck out three (one reached on a wild pitch) in his second inning.

McGill's older brother--Shawn--bounced around the minor and independent leagues for eight seasons after being the 23rd round pick of the Phillies in 2003. He finished up his career in the Braves' system, playing three seasons mostly in Lynchburg.

Just checked Camargo's stats and in another example of how the major leagues and minor leagues are on different planets, in this particular Bizarro World, Camargo's stats against RHP are better than they are against LHP, which is pretty much a flip from his big league experience. Only stat against LHP where he's markedly better is isoSLG with is a .230 compared to .203 against RHP. Curious to see where he ends up. I was surprised when the Braves brought him back last off-season and I can't see him sticking around.

Camargo needs to be traded to a bottom dweller and get 500 PA's again.

I still have faith he can be above replacement.

My guess is he'll be waived off the 40-man when it is set in November. He'll catch on somewhere and I will be curious to see how he does at this next stop. I think his big problem is he bulked up and outgrew the SS position. He now profiles as a back-up 1B/3B (with the ability to play 2B), but his defense--which was his calling card when he first hit the big leagues--has really suffered. He has a markedly different body type than when he first hit the big leagues as a lean SS/2B. Chicks may dig the long ball, but that being the case, maybe some players should remain celibate.
