Well-pitched game for the R-Braves. I can't believe Higginbotham will be in Rome much longer, given his age (23) and his high-level college experience. Nice numbers for him thus far. Montilla is younger (20) and is also off to a good start. Not much in terms of hitting on that team though.

Brown hitting .435 at Rome, Harris hitting .395

Logan Brown is the son of former big league player Kevin Brown. Before you get too excited, it's not the pitcher Kevin Brown, but the catcher Kevin Brown who was the Rangers' 2nd round draft pick in 1994. The elder catching Brown played in the majors for parts of 7 seasons, logging just over 200 PAs.

Montilla is interesting. 10 IP 2 H 0 R 0 BB 9 K this year. Decent numbers in the past and only 20.

Are all three related? I know both Kevin Brown's are from Georgia, while Logan was born in Indiana IIRC.

OK. They had his dad listed as being born in Georgia last I checked, but that is wrong as it's a link to the pitcher from Georgia. See here: http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=682204#/career/R/hitting/2019/ALL.

I saw that as well and I dug a little deeper. I would think that we would have heard when Logan was drafted that he was the son of Georgia Techster Kevin Brown. I may still be wrong, but the college connection and Indiana roots point to the other Kevin Brown for me. Too bad Kevin Brown the pitcher and Kevin Brown the catcher never teamed up as a battery.

You're not wrong according to what I have found, Kevin Brown the pitcher does have four sons but none named Logan. Plus this article (https://www.courierpress.com/story/...-son-duo-both-caught-roger-clemens/746202002/) says the father-son duo are both from Indiana. I suppose they could still be related to the pitcher from Georgia, possibly cousins.

Cristian Pache with his 7th and 8th extra-base hit last night through 10 games. Now slashing .341/.364/.610 but with a .483 BABIP.

The only early negative is the 29.5 K% and 4.5 BB%.

That was a great night organizationally. Lots of good performances for important prospects. Pache, Waters, Wilson, Davidson, de la Cruz.

Burrows continues to struggle.

If the only negative is the skill related stats are bad and the luck related stats are good, then there's nothing to worry about!
