TUESDAY MINORS FINAL 6/19/18: Great pro debut for Justin Dean

JJ Cooper from Baseball America is at the Sally League All Star Game:

Rome Braves Freddy Tarnok is the most impressive pitcher we have seen tonight. Mixed 94-96 mph FB and hard SL to strike out the side.

Great news.

I thought we were going to see Tarnok as a starter after he was drafted

At one of the games I went to, a guy (presumably) a scout said that they are getting him into a pro routine as he is really raw as a pitcher. He will be stretched out next year or later in the year.

I think I’ve seen him go 3ip at the most, so yeah this adds up.

I don't see any similarities in Waters and Schafer at all. They aren't even remotely the same player other than they are both white and play in the OF

Isn't that all that matters?

In reality my comparison comes from I believe Waters will eventually become a good hitter and defender in the OF. No one skill that makes you go wow but no true weakness either. Which is what most people had hoped for Schafer.

Waters has the chance for wow hit and power tools
