Approaching Buddy Hernandez Territory
I live in metro Atlanta and have been able to watch the braves my entire life and even most of this season.now when I go to record games on dish it's saying its blacked out.all the games are now..does anyone know what's going on??

I called dish and the dude told me that it's the team's choice to raise attendance..just another reason to hate Liberty media.

For three years, Dish Network blacked out weekend Atlanta Braves games from its subscribers over a pay dispute.

So when Dish subscribers tried to watch last night’s Braves/Diamondbacks game and found it blacked out, many had bad flashbacks.

But a Dish spokesman assured meit was not a long-term problem.

“This was a technical issue and Dish subscribers who can’t see the Braves game should call customer service and request a box reset,” he wrote.

Tod Miller, a Dish customer, said when he called Dish about the blackout, they told him it was the Braves telling them to black out the games to get more people to buy tickets. That makes no sense. No other service had the games blacked out.

Dish finally ended its dispute with Fox Sports before this season started.

Given the Braves are having such a horrid season, maybe a blackout is not a bad idea. And Braves fans didn’t miss much last night. They lost 7-2 and are now 7-21, worst in Major League Baseball.

Thanks for the reply my friend.dude sounded like he was from India so I'm sure he didn't know what he was talking about..lol

Mine was blacked out last night, I had pfriggin' pflashbacks of the last couple years. As I type this I am watching the game tonight though, so I'd go with the technical excuse, not the Braves trying to increase attendance, particularly on this edition of Braves.
