Ynoa goes walk crazy (no surprise) a day after weigel went walk crazy. A lot of us (me included) have been keeping our eye on these 2 as potential pen guys this year... pretty disappointing 2 days for that hope

The IL has suddenly turned into the PCL. Gwinnett has a .855 OPS... as a team! 5 teams in the IL have OBP's over .350, and 7 have SLG over .450.

I know they changed the ball to the MLB ball, but this is kinda crazy. Last year, the best team OBP in the IL was .335 and the best SLG .419

Ynoa turned 21 yesterday. Probably hung over.

I didn't have to worry about a 21-year-old legal drinking age as it was 19 in Minnesota when I could legally imbibe. I managed to be hung over for most of my college days.

They must be using Superballs. HRs up everywhere. Anyone with a decent launch angle is going to flirt with 20 dingers.

Interesting that Pache—ostensibly the less developed prospect from the hitting side—now has a better OBP (.352 v .338) and SLG (.480 v .465) than Waters, despite essentially the same AVG (.299 v .300). I’m still a fan of Waters, but I think those pencilling a 2020 ETA are quite premature.

Pache, on the other hand, has made adjustments and strides so swiftly the past couple years that there’s :Bowman: he might be ready sometime next season, especially given his elite CF defence.

Pache 2-5 with his fourth homer—though almost as nice to see Waters take a walk (he’s 1-4 otherwise).

Nicest of all to see Neslony with a double and homer; his OPS is up to .815.

Going to be a really interesting next couple of weeks. Probably fair at this point to wonder if Davidson's ready to help in the pen. If so - and the Giants want more than Duvall for Will Smith - do you hold onto him for when the inevitable slow down for Riley comes?

If they actually sign Kimbrel to push Jackson, Minter, and Sobotka into earlier duties (when the latter two come back) and you think Newcomb, Touki, Wilson, and even possibly Davidson can be effective enough to be the early guys (and you believe Duvall actually has found it again and this isn't a mirage), would keeping Duvall around to allow you to game Pache's clock next spring be worth more to you than a couple months' worth of Smith?

Tucker Davidson bouncing back nicely after an uneven 2018. Wonder where his future lies: rotation or pen? I think he was slated for the pen early in his career but was converted to a starter midway through the 2017 season in Rome.
