What of the finaly Coppygate Braves?

Nowhere have I seen any information, from Baseball America on down, as to what has happened to the last four unsigned free agents from the Coppygate scandal.

My understanding was that, should they not sign with another organization before May 1, they could be resigned with the Braves but cannot get an additional bonus.
Whatever their status, these are the guys still listed as unsigned:

RHP Juan Contreras (originally a $1.2 million bonus signing)
OF Antonio Sucre
Brandol Mezquita
Angel Rojas

It turns into a punishment on them if they can’t resign. It’s why I do NOT like releasing players....just penalize signings going forward.

If nobody else wants them, I think the Braves should bring them back as a gesture of good will, if nothing else.
