Not sure I get batting the pitcher 8th, but oh well. It can't get worse.

Chug an entire beer when the Braves hit a lead off double, followed by a K, then a fly out to advance the runner to 3B, then a grounder to the right side for the 3rd out...thus scoring zero runs due to terrible sequencing, and ushering in calls for playing small ball.

Man I work at 3am (Westcoast time) these drinking games are ganna kill me!!
I'm going to play my own private drinking game based around pleas for a team that can manufacture runs and hit with RISP.
Finish your drink if the broadcast shows or mentions Jen Harang.
Actually, according to "The Book", it is worth about 2 runs per season to have your pitcher batting 8th because the 9th place hitter will be getting on for the top of the lineup. Now that JUp is hitting 2nd, the current lineup is pretty much optimized (Freddie should be hitting 4th with BJ hitting 3rd though - the order of importance of out avoidance is #1, #4, #2, #5, #3, #6, #7, #8, #9).
Since Pena and Pastor are leadoff-type hitters, but not actually good enough to hit leadoff, batting them 9th in front of Heyward/JUp/Freeman is a good idea. Additionally, the pitcher will likely be PH for by his 3rd or 4th AB, so the poor hitting pitchers won't really be taking many ABs away from position/bench players over the course of the season. Each lineup position is worth about 17 additional ABs per year, and since the pitcher will be PH for approximately 25% of the time, the offense is only giving the pitcher an extra ~12-13 ABs per season.
Here is a pretty good explanation:

any drinking game that involves Braves K's will get you drunk. Unless you have 10 drinks so regularly that 10 doesn't make you drunk.
