Forever Fredi
I do agree somewhat. The Braves have a negative run differential. That's not good. We are lucky we have owned the Nats to this point. Now I like this roster and especially this lineup. They just have to start hitting better and I think they will. But if the status quo stays the same we aren't making the playoffs.
And I still stand by it, we are not a good team and there is no sense in coming on here and pretending we are a good team when we are not. We lead this division not by effort but by default. We were just swept at home by the last place team, for goodness sakes. There is not one facet of this team that could be considered the best in baseball. We have three men on our 25 man, that have no business on the team. Schafer and BJ both need to follow Dan out the door. It pains me to say that about Dan, Lord knows what really has caused him to tank but it's a shame. IMO our hopes for the rest of the season fall squarely on Minor. I have confidence in Julio and Alex, not so much in Magic and Aaron. To be a legit contender you have to win 3 of 5, with this rotation I am not sure we can. We are one bad week or one more serious injury away from saying see you in '15.
But having said that it doesn't mean just because I have very little faith in this roster that I won't pull as hard as I can every night for these guys and give credit when due. I still say unfortunately that we are headed for a third place finish behind the Marlins and Nats when all is said and done.

Also, I'm upset you are from VA. You make us look bad

What makes you guys so positive about this group? And please give the they won 96 games a year ago thing a rest because it means nothing in 2014.
Where are you from in Va just curious?
Richmond. Not enough of us around here honestly. At least die hards
Southwest coalfields here. I would imagine the Nats fans have overtook that area. I went to college back in the mid '90s with several from central and south side Va they were almost to a a fault Braves fans, but Richmond lost the Braves, TBS is gone and honesty compels me to say it's been a long time since we were legit title contenders.

I agree partially with VA.
Just because we beat the Nats doesnt mean squat if they get swept by teams like Philly, and others.
If they can go on a 13-2 type run, then maybe, or something to stop going win, win, lose, win, lose, lose, win, win, lose, win, etc, etc.

we're about 45% to make the playoffs IMO. Losing Floyd knocks our chances down a little. Your fighting LA and StLouis for the WC right now, not where you want to be. And the divison is wide open, although I just can't see the Marlins in it in Sept.

Good post.
Fan is shortened for "fanatic", most Braves fans fit that to the "T". They care about the team and will post both good and bad and people need to understand that. If they didn't care about the team, they wouldn't be on this board trolling. At least we are not like Robert De Niro like in the stalking department.
Just sayin'
