I remember when we had a premier 3B. Good times.

    Heyward shouldn't leadoff against lefties.

I wish our manager was the slightest bit analytical with decisions

Disagree. Jason is fine at leadoff vs lefties. While he's obviously got a platoon split. Who else do you hit there? And if you say Gosselin, who do you hit 2?

He's had success against Lester and had competitive ab's today. It's not like he has pathetic BJ like swings.

Probably TLS or Bonofacio. My lineup against lefties would like this:

    Bonfacio
    TLS
    JUpton
    Freeman
    Gattis
    Heyward
    Johnson
    Simmons

    against righties:

    Heyward
    TLS
    Upton
    Freeman
    Gattis
    Johnson
    Simmons
    BJ/Bono

Have to disagree. I'd stick with a consistent lineup and build for stability

    Jason
    TLS
    Justin
    Freddie
    Gattis
    Johnson
    Simmons
    Bossman/Bonifacio.

Yeah he's lost it this inning. Lost a tick on his fastball and his control.

I'd go Heyward vs righties and Bonifacio vs lefties, though against lefties Heyward has a good track record I'd still bat him leadoff in those games. So the way I'd do it would keep Heyward in at leadoff vs a number of lefties in our division.

Fredi ruined that second line of thinking for me, lol.

I hope that last homer doesn't come back to bite us, Minor had pitched very well otherwise. Hopefully we can score some more and it won't matter.

Johnson can still hit lefties, bad pitch though but he crushed that one. Gattis still likes lefties too I see.

PS: I obviously don't like CJ as a starter but as platoon player he could be really good since he hits lefties so well. But we are paying him too much for that so we should trade him if we can this off-season.

Yep, it's Fredi's fault our offense sucks.

    Certainly all his fault.

This team is well stocked with lefty mashers, so if we made the playoffs we'd do best against a team with more lefty starters. However, facing someone like Kershaw is not what I mean by saying that, lol.

Actually what I said was proven entirely right lol. Justin and Minor were the difference makers. Why not if you want to play Gosselin, put him in LF or RF and move Jason to CF. Seriously the insanity of Benching one of our 5 best hitters is just that, insanity.

Keep in mind that Heyward (poster) responds to most any critical posts of Fredi the same way.
