I've been a Falcons fan through thick and thin and have had more than my fair share of thin. So I'm savoring this. I didn't think this team would win 6 games after dropping the opener to Tampa Bay. I'm glad to say I was wrong.

Yeah. But people will forget the Falcons missing a virtual All-Pro in Trufant because the Packers had a banged up Nelson who still played (even if Julio was also banged up) Or the Falcons had almost as many players out/on IR.
But whatever, don't mind me, I'm just talking facts.

Shut em out for a half. Wow. I'm still in shock!!!

The Falcons will be playing second fiddle to the Pats in the national media and that's OK with me.

Dan Shaughnessy not showing the city of Atlanta much love.
The whole thing about Atlanta being primarily a college football town is an old, well worn argument. The thing that really got me though was the patronizing tone and the way the guy seemed to act like victory was a foregone conclusion. It's like this guy thinks it's beneath the Patriot's dignity to play the Falcons. I would have expected a bit more respect considering what Atlanta did to Green Bay yesterday.
Also, I gotta say it's probably not the best idea to use the Hawks as the measuring stick for Atlanta's enthusiasm for professional sports.
