Pretty sure he's never said that or meant that.
I think he means, and if so I agree, that if the Braves had rallied the troops and circled the wagons then MLB would have never gotten enough info to support their harsh penalties. Instead the Braves (Hart, McGuirk and likely JS) tried to throw Coppy and Blakely to the wolves, get them on an NDA with a severance, and clean everything up without anything getting out. What they miscalculated on was that Coppy and Blakely weren't interested in their severance (Coppy thought he could sue, I think Blakely was the woman scorned). Coppy went radio silent and started talking to his lawyers. Blakely sang like a bird and cut a deal and turned on both Coppy and Hart - why do you think Hart got sucked in in a peripheral way but McGuirk and JS didn't? (Blakely wouldn't have had access to those guys).
And now Blakely is meeting with Liberty execs.
Not too hard to connect the dots.
McGuirk will quietly retire and be replaced.
JS will be given a smaller office further away from the people making decisions.

"I am your retribution."

I think they both secretly admire each other.

I’m starting to get the idea that Blakey may have been the rat that really made our problems worse. I may be wrong but if he caused us that much trouble I hope he doesn’t get a dime and never finds another job. If he is talking to us about top management he probably told MLB which could be why we got hit so hard. I hate snitches.
Coppy speaks!
