The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is to make sure he doesn’t get a gun.
Call it making fun of or intimidate, the problem is that the behavior she's upset about appears to be protected speech.
There's no reason to defend her here. She's upset at the behavior of some people online and made some statements based on emotion. She's clearly in the wrong.
In fact intimidation is a crime
Threatening a government official is a felony.
You can look it up
I was afraid she would take her daughter to N Korea to stand in for Sec of State and NSA.
Are you drunk ?
Yeah, haha, the kid is doing the parody.
This behavior is hardly limited to Democrats or even politics. All the NSA spying and we cant catch these aholes making death threats. I am really tired of people equating receiving death threats with them being right. I would fully support law enforcement aggresively going after this aholes. These mother****ers who call up people to make death threats are the ones who deserve to get raided by the police at 2 AM. I would support 20+ years in prison for people who do this but there really needs to be safeguards against police using it against their critics.

Not as such. I’m just noticing that phrasing it that way seems awfully emotionally charged. Seems like something sturg is pretty often complaining about. I think that he’s also usually dead wrong on what’s satire and what isn’t, but in this case I think he’s right. I think it’s an open question as to whether it’s appropriate to use a kid that way, but that’s not an ideological question.
The larger question of online harassment, doxxing, death threats, etc, is the same for everyone, and I dispute the characterization that it’s somehow a one-sided phenomenon.
