I vehemently disagree that a long listing of QB's can make that throw but thats just one throw in a collection of amazing throws that Purdy makes each and every game.
And as I continue to say watch the QB school tape on him. The timing and accuracy of his throws is spectacular.

First QB I pull up is Zach Wilson.

3rd play on this highlight is nearly identical to the play you posted. Actually, it's better because he made a back shoulder throw to the sideline and threaded the needle between 2 defenders. And this is Zach effing Wilson making this throw, who is at best the 30th ranked QB this year.

LMAO, dude just stop. 1st off Allard was not his first read on that play. He is looking over the middle until he feels the pressure, then rolls out, keeps his eyes down the field and finds Allard along the sideline and makes a gorgeous throw. It was a significantly better pass than the Brock pass.
The point I'm making is not to say that Wilson is on par Brock as QB. Quite obviously he is not. But you made the statement that it wasn't a throw/play many QBs can make. I am saying you are FOS.
It was a nice throw, but it was a NFL level throw. It's a throw you expect any NFL level starting caliber QB to make. The difference between Brock and Wilson is not these type of plays, because these types of plays are infrequent. The difference in Brock and Wilson is what happens the other 98% of the time. The ability to read a defense, going through progressions, knowing when to check down, etc. That is the difference between good QBs (Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert) and bad QBs (Ridder, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, etc).

Carp is not trying to say Wilson is good. He's pointing otu that throwing while rolling out to your weak side isn't amazing.
It's also ignoring a huge bonus Purdy would know that because of DL stunt, he knew Trent WIlliams one of the best OL in the game would be there to pickup the next guy who was rushing so he wasn't under as much duress giving him time to read progressions and setup and throw.

For sure, Niners line isn't that great, Losing McGlinchey hurt a ton. But Williams still is a beast. My point was the DL stunt he escaped from set him up for success. Which is good pocket movement/presence, but it's not anything truly outstanding. Like it's what you'd expect anyone capable of holding down a regular starting job of doing.

He's already said he doesn't pay attention to any teams other than the Niners. What's funny is literally no one is saying Purdy isn't very good. In fact most are saying he's in the top 2 for MVP... Dak is just a little bit ahead right now which is true for everyone except for Niners fans.
