Where is it I say he should get 20+ mil?
Thank you.
I said north of 15 mil, that is all. It could mean 15.01 mil, or 16 mil, but it doesn't say 20 mil.
You said he deserves 15 mill... But here you are saying "no player deserves that it's rubbish". I'm confused as well.
To be totally honest, no player is worth 1 million to play a freaking game if you want to play that game.
Freeman doesn't deserve 20 mil, Heyward if you based on offense alone is not worth 15 mil, but his overall game and by most GM's worth that due to his otherworldly defense. But a 18 homer guy is worth 20 mil nowadays for I have no idea why.

Freeman is averaging 21+ HRs per year. Not 18. He is also not a 20 million dollar player and won't be for another two seasons. He'll make a COMBINED 20 million in the next two seasons. He was worth WAY more than the 5 million he made in 2014 and will likely be worth WAY more than the 8 in 2015 and 12 in 2016. His contract has him at a bit under 17 million per year if you want to average it out.

never really understand the anger of employees making money (no matter the job)
and not having the same anger at the even more absurd money that owners etc pocket off the backs of said workers
i don't tune into or go to the stadium to see the owners (though i might if it it means Ted comes back or Blank could own the team) and i don't watch the to see the crappy ads for crappy products served in horrible fast food places that pay a lot to advertise and make a lot of money from those advertisements
if a player isn't worth more than 1 million
we better go back to 50 cent tickets and 5 cent cokes and popcorns and no games on tv etc
these salaries are only that high because people in some way are watching and making rich people even richer. i don't care if someone that i enjoy watching play ball gets paid. would rather the money go to that person than the absurdly rich and greedy owner.

Use to go to a lot of games when I were little.
Now, unless the tickets are free, I won't bother. I don't pay the MLB TV packages either. I have other means if I want to watch.
A reason blacks aren't going to games anymore, we can't (not me) afford to go to them.

Freeman was also one of the few hitters to show anything this past Sept. And while a .759 OPS in Sept. was not Freeman like I would say that was likely somewhat fatigue from playing every game. Plus it was still the best OPS on the team among regulars and much better than Justin Upton's .559 Sept. OPS. As hard as it is to believe, BJ Upton had a better OPS this past Sept. than his brother Justin. BJ Upton's Sept. OPS was .734 in 17 games (including a .216 batting average). If BJ could put up an OPS over .700 the first half half this coming season, then maybe we could actually trade him at the deadline.

MLBTR: "If A.J. Pierzynski‘s Spring Training looks like a continuation of his subpar 2014 season, he may not make the Braves‘ Opening Day roster, writes Fangraphs’ David Laurila in his latest Sunday Notes column. Pierzynski and the Braves agreed to a one-year, $2MM deal on Christmas Eve."
