Didn't check the video but I'm more anti-organized religion than completely atheist. I also have a hard time consolidating we live in a country that promotes individual freedom from metaphorical tyranny (the government) and at the same time people worship a being and plan their actions on the assumption something ot that being is always watching them 24/7. There's just a certain irony to that.

I got the video linked now. I don't necessarily organized religion is the answer but the fact that the NFL now owns the day GOD used to is a problem. I don't attend church regularly either.

I am way to high to be making logical arguments but I cant resist. The concept of religion keeping people in check is true but far less so now than hundreds of years ago when its was used to keep the populace from revolting. This whole thing about choosing to obey the law is bullcrap. We were plenty religious when we revolted against the British. We were plenty religions during prohibition. The real reason for the "rise" in crime is because of the war on drugs/victimless crimes. Prisons are mental illness factories and we are finding more and more reasons every year to send people to them and passing laws making them stay there longer. Now the problem is just snowballing. The justice system got so overwhelmed thats its broken. We cant even find enough public defenders for all the poor people accused of crimes. Cops have become predators preying on the weak/poor. Politicians dont even have to raise taxes anymore. They just make laws allowing the Cops to steal it from you. If religion is the reason we let them get away with this **** then we need a lot less religion in our lives.
